How recommendations are made
Describe the person you're buying for — their interests, your relationship, the occasion, your rough budget — and GiftWrapd's AI generates eight specific gift ideas chosen to suit them. For each idea, we then search the live web to find a real product page at a trusted UK retailer, so the button under each gift takes you somewhere you can actually buy it.
Recommendations are generated fresh for every search. They aren't drawn from a pre-agreed list of products, and no brand or retailer can pay to appear in your results.
How we make money
GiftWrapd is free to use. We earn money in two clearly separated ways:
- Affiliate commission. Some "Buy" links are affiliate links — including Amazon Associates links. If you buy something after clicking one, the retailer pays us a small commission. This never changes the price you pay.
- Labelled sponsored placements. Occasionally a brand pays for a card in the results. These are always marked "Sponsored" or "Featured" — they are never disguised as AI recommendations.
Our independence promise
Gift ideas are selected by our AI on suitability for your recipient — not on which retailer pays us, or how much. The AI that chooses gifts has no knowledge of commission rates. If the best gift for your mum is somewhere that pays us nothing, that's still the gift you'll see.
As an Amazon Associate, GiftWrapd earns from qualifying purchases. We also work with, or are in the process of joining, other UK affiliate programmes and networks.
About prices and availability
Prices shown are estimates to help you compare at a glance — the retailer's page always shows the definitive price and stock. We link to established UK retailers and verify links against real product pages, but products can sell out or change price at any time.
Your data
Your recent searches and saved shortlist stay in your own browser. We only store a shortlist on our servers if you choose to create a share link — and even then, only the gift details, never anything about you. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
